LBJ Institute for STEM Education and Research

The LBJ Institute for STEM Education and Research prepares university students and faculty to conduct scholarly STEM disciplinary based educational research and to form a supportive academic cross-disciplinary community that carries out research-based instructional approaches and culturally relevant STEM engagement efforts that:

  • enhance teacher preparation and faculty professional development

  • contribute to the recruitment and production of more scientifically and technologically literate professionals

  • support Texas' students with innovative approaches to excel as capable science, mathematics, engineering and technology majors
